"fuck you" is more aggressive which (imo) doesn't fit the rest of the song as well. That mixed with the fact that "forget" has an extra syllable and flows better with the music makes that version both more optimistic in nature as well as generally sonically sounding better.
"Fuck you" comes across as vengeful and angry while "forget you" comes across as "I can do so much better that you aren't even worth my time"
