Well, he made the best Arthurian adaptation to ever grace the silver screen (Excalibur), and Deliverance (you got a purty mouth), so he's got that going for him.
So I just noticed a scene in “The Quiet Ones (2014)”, very similar to the flashing hypnolight in Exorcist III. They use this rotating slit shade on a candle. Is this some ancient ghost hunting/ESP trope I wasn’t aware of? Or is this just a callback to Exorcist III?
It’s worth a watch just because it’s so bonkers. The art direction is also interesting.
